TRE-FX is assembling leading technology providers from ELIXIR-UK and HDR UK, with three TRE providers and two leading analysis platforms to show through a real reference implementation how we can use secure Research Objects to move between TREs while still supporting the Five Safes principles that govern and protect patient data; all overseen by patient representatives.

We develop a suite of analysis pipelines that will run on every genome produced in Tree of Life, providing a central database of core results available for all.

We gather the high throughput sequence data as it is generated, run quality control analysis to make sure the data is good quality and from the expected species. We assemble the long read sequence data into long contiguous pieces, then use further long-range sequencing data to scaffold the data into chromosome scale blocks.
