MTB Bioinformatics Workflows

Group Description: MTB Bioinformatics Workflows The MTB Bioinformatics Workflows group curates and shares reproducible, well-documented computational workflows focused on the analysis of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) genomic and proteomic data. Our aim is to support researchers, educators, and public health practitioners working on tuberculosis by providing accessible pipelines for genome assembly, annotation, variant analysis, gene expression profiling, protein sequence extraction, and downstream functional analysis.

This group brings together workflows developed using platforms such as Galaxy, with an emphasis on transparency, interoperability, and alignment with FAIR data principles. It also serves as a collaborative space for workflow testing, improvement, and community-driven development.

Researchers affiliated with the Philippine Normal University and other collaborators contribute to this group to promote the responsible and open use of bioinformatics tools in MTB research and education, especially in low-resource and pedagogical contexts.
